Dear residents of Ratby – The real fight begins today!

Lagan homes have jumped the gun and have formally submitted their outline application for 470 houses and or 450 houses, school, care home, & community hub.

The application has been validated by HBBC and is now live on their planning portal ref 24/00914/0UT

Lagan Homes have done this whilst the regulation 19 consultation was still live and ongoing. Clearly, they had no intention of taking part in the Borough Councils consultation. Clearly their priority is profit, not our village or community!

They have also now made it abundantly clear that if the council do not provide financial support to build a school, care home & community hub they will just build 470 houses instead and ignore the fact that the village does not have the infrastructure to cope!

Please see notice of public meeting below and details of how we plan to respond, at the last public meeting many people offered their support to volunteer their time to help fight this plan, we now need those people and many more to sign up!
