Ratby war memorial takes the form of a Carrara marble sculpture of Winged Victory, standing on the top of a pillar which sits on a plinth and a two-stepped base. The figure's right arm is raised and in her left she holds a garland. On the front of the pillar the dedication and a list of the names of the men who fell in World War I are recorded in lead lettering. The names of the fallen of World War II are recorded on the side of the pillar and on the plinth is a further inscription. The memorial stands on the Main Street, outside the Primary School, behind decorative iron railings. The area around the memorial is covered with stone chippings.
